Gas Portfolio Analyst at Octopus Energy

📋 Description

• Monitor gas portfolio positions daily across PVB, TVB, AVB.
• Track MTM, P&L, hedge coverage, and open positions.
• Forecast gas consumption (short-, mid-, long-term).
• Analyze gas market fundamentals: LNG, storage, demand, spreads.
• Stay up to date with Spanish and European gas regulation and market rules.
• Collaborate with Finance, Data and Commercial teams.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record (3-5+ years) in energy markets and gas portfolio risk.
• Familiarity with Iberian/European gas markets: MIBGAS, TTF, LNG dynamics.
• Strong analytical mindset with market prices, forecasts, P&L, MTM, risk metrics.
• Hands-on forecasting/time-series/portfolio modelling for energy/commodities.
• Advanced SQL, Python and/or R for data analysis, automation, modelling, or reporting.
• Spanish and English proficiency to coordinate in an international environment.
