📋 Description

  • Develop an integrated communications plan aligned with CALSTART’s mission.
  • Maintain brand voice and messaging across programs and channels.
  • Translate technical objectives into funder- and stakeholder-ready narratives.
  • Proactively secure media coverage; manage journalist relations.
  • Oversee content: press releases, blogs, newsletters, annual reports.
  • Lead digital strategy for CALSTART.org; social media and email marketing.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
  • 7–10+ years in communications; automotive/clean transport nonprofit preferred.
  • Experience promoting policy initiatives at federal, state, or local levels.
  • Exemplary writing with a portfolio of materials.
  • Strong media relations and crisis management skills.
  • Ability to translate technical topics into clear messaging; collaborative.
