- Develop an integrated communications plan aligned with CALSTART’s mission.
- Maintain brand voice and messaging across programs and channels.
- Translate technical objectives into funder- and stakeholder-ready narratives.
- Proactively secure media coverage; manage journalist relations.
- Oversee content: press releases, blogs, newsletters, annual reports.
- Lead digital strategy for CALSTART.org; social media and email marketing.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
- 7–10+ years in communications; automotive/clean transport nonprofit preferred.
- Experience promoting policy initiatives at federal, state, or local levels.
- Exemplary writing with a portfolio of materials.
- Strong media relations and crisis management skills.
- Ability to translate technical topics into clear messaging; collaborative.
