📋 Description
- Own vehicle performance modeling across hover, transition, and cruise.
- Build and maintain 6-DOF flight dynamics models for lift+cruise.
- Contribute to vehicle design trades with flight sciences insights.
- Derive external flight loads and collaborate on load cases and aeroelastic models.
- Support flight test planning, instrumentation, and data analysis.
- Build and improve simulation environments for envelope expansion and controls.
🎯 Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace Engineering or closely related field.
- 5+ years hands-on experience in flight sciences, vehicle performance, or flight dynamics.
- Proficiency in vehicle performance modeling: energy methods and 6-DOF simulations.
- Experience building/working with aerodynamic databases and stability derivatives.
- Familiarity with flight test methods and data reduction.
- Strong programming skills in Python and MATLAB for analysis.
