Senior Software Engineer - Service mesh at Roku

📋 Description

• Architect, design, and deploy Roku’s next-gen service mesh and cloud infra.
• Build deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, Istio/Envoy, and Terraform.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools to be adopted by Roku.
• Build and integrate security into the infrastructure.
• Migrate workloads to Kubernetes, Istio, and open-source observability tools.
• Scale and integrate observability tools with the Observability team to improve reliability.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in infrastructure/platform engineering.
• Strong cloud experience: AWS, ECS, Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS).
• Proficient in Python and Go; scripting.
• Kubernetes, Istio/Envoy, Terraform experience.
• Production CI/CD tooling experience.
• Familiar with Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, Grafana.
