Position
The Mobile Development Team Lead will lead the development, implementation, and operational management of Jonas Club’s mobile technology software. They are embarking on a mission to reshape the fundamental experiences, delight their customers, and reshape how development is done. This role will involve considerable customer interaction, especially when working with end-users understanding their needs and challenges.
The Mobile Team Lead will play an integral role in driving the evolution of our mobile roadmap to support the growth of new products and the support of their global clients. This role will be part of a highly visible team that has direct impact on the execution of their technology roadmap and vision..
Description
As a member of the Jonas Club Software Team, this role will be responsible for the coordination of the organization’s mobile development and operations. They will be tasked with leading and guiding the mobile development team through coaching as well as design/code reviews.
JCS is not purely looking for a technologist, but rather, a leader that leverages the right technology to enable the business to create elegant solutions that quickly deliver features to the field. The successful candidate will be humble and will evolve and develop software based on a true understanding of the customer’s desires. Customer relationships must be prioritized.
Technology Stack:
• JCS currently supports both iOS and Android platforms natively
• JCS supports two back-office enterprise solutions (one built with ProvideX for Windows, and one based on .Net/SQL). The mobility platform will integrate with both of these solutions
• Knowledge of Blazor would be a definite asset
Qualifications
• JCS is looking for candidates with five-plus years’ experience in the following:
• Experience building mobile applications and mobile websites for Android and iOS
• Strong knowledge of Objective-C, Java
• Proficiency in Swift, Kotlin
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of Web API’s
• Experience implementing data security measures when building mobile apps
• Proficiency with web applications and services.
• Technical leadership – ability to set direction, work collaboratively on complex technical challenges, conduct code reviews and help remove roadblocks for the development team
• Collaborate with Product Owners to set technical direction, drive solution design, and provide project estimations for the product roadmap
• Experience in retrieving, analyzing data in Microsoft SQL Server and delimited flat data files
• Ability to switch gears or change direction quickly
• Solid sense of personal responsibility and ability to stand alone
• Customer focused approach to accomplishing tasks within established timelines and proactively ensure customers’ expectations are met
• Accomplished customer service skills with proven experience in client engagement, effective problem-solving, and offering clear updates
• Learning on the fly and adapt to changes in technology
• Excellent teamwork and communication (verbal and written) skills
• Strategic organizational skills
• Bachelor Degree in computer Science or related work experience
