Brief Overview:

The Sr. Cyber Security Analyst will play a critical role in the Cyber Command Center (C3). Specifically, the Sr. Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and maintaining the security and integrity of the American Well Information Systems Telehealth data network. This position requires an understanding of Information Systems as they relate to the security and the protection of sensitive data. The ideal candidate should have the ability to follow through on assignments and work independently as well as provide solutions to security issues and concerns.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support security initiatives relating to PCI, HITRUST and ISO 27001/2 compliance frameworks
  • Perform security assessments and audit processes in accordance with the above frameworks
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to security issues based on the latest industry best practices
  • Collaborate with the security and compliance teams in the creation of standards and procedures to minimize system impact
  • Perform and document network vulnerability scans weekly, monthly, and quarterly to meet AmWell compliance requirements
  • Create reports from the results of vulnerability testing and distribute to key team members
  • Configure and perform dedicated application vulnerability testing and operate software tools required to monitor and analyze network vulnerabilities
  • Setup scans for detection of malicious hardware or software on the network
  • Assist in managing network scanning nodes running CentOS Linux for various applications
  • Configure Security Center to maximize resources and network scanning
  • Identify and analyze network vulnerabilities based on latest industry attacks

Qualifications:

  • Familiar with network scanning tools NMAP, APPSCAN, TENABLE-Security Center/Nessus, Metasploit, etc.
  • Ability to create and follow procedures and to identify and issues that need improvement
  • Ability to investigate, understand, and document network security architecture
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of business
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience required
  • Knowledge of information security engineering methods and technologies for IT infrastructure, web, mobility, and WAN and LAN networking
  • Knowledge of researching and analyzing information security technologies and processes to meet complex business needs
  • Analytical Reasoning - Applies research methodologies and statistical analysis to solve problems. Synthesizes and analyzes complex data, information and evidence to draw meaningful conclusions

The typical base salary range for this position is $96,000- $132,000. The actual salary offer will ultimately depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, relevant education, experience, complexity or specialization of talent, and other objective factors. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus based on a combination of company performance and employee performance. Long-term incentive and short-term variable compensation may be offered as part of the compensation package dependent on the role. Some roles may be commission based, in which case the total compensation will be based on a commission and the above range may not be an accurate representation of total compensation.
