Cloud Security Engineer

Systems Integration and Development, Inc. (SID) is an award-winning IT solutions provider located in Rockville, MD and is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer. This is a full-time and remote position.

Summary:

The Cloud Security engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud security methods for containerized applications. This role will ensure the access controls on the application and data in a Kubernetes environment.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• Development: Design, develop, and deploy cloud security methods and practices for applications and data using C#, JavaScript, Python, REACT, and/or Angular tailored for Kubernetes and Docker.
• Cloud Integration: Ensure applications are designed to be secure and not only protect the application and data but controls monitoring and support mechanisms.
• Provide mechanism and alarming for security issues for the Kubernetes environment and the applications on the environment.
• Continuous Deployment: Implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless code integrations and deployments.
• Monitoring: Collaborate with operations teams to monitor application health, ensuring the availability,
• Testing: Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Security: Develop secure code and integrate with security tools to ensure applications are free from vulnerabilities. Ensure secure orchestration of containers.
• Leading a team and mentoring Mid and Jr developers
• Additional duties as assigned
