The chosen candidate will have expert knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and PowerBI to join our growing company and support our federal client. Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting comparative, trend, and predictive analysis of variety of data and prepare comprehensive reports of the analysis that are useful in decision making, and communication.
- Must possess skillsets to work with large and complex data sets, multiple sources, and changing requirements.
- Design multi-dimensional systems using SSAS’s star schema that create simplicity in accessing diverse data to perform efficient and fast analysis on large amounts of data, uncover trends and make timelier, better-informed decisions. The designs must be flexible to accept data from multiple data sources with varying structures and compatible with existing sources and structures.
- Build reports using PowerBI from the OLAP multi-dimensional databases.
- Adept at working with various data management systems and assist in designing scalable automated reporting processes that can deliver high quality reports efficiently and consistently.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree
- 10+ years working in a federal consulting environment
- Proven and extensive experience in a large-scale Government Integrated Healthcare System with substantive programs focused on Veterans health care.
- Extensive experience in/with VHA and VHA Medical Center Operations.
- The ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
- Detailed understanding of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and their features/functions
- Experience with the following: Power BI, SQL, PL/SQL, Database design and ETL (data extraction, transform, and load), and an understanding of big data concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Experience with creating executive-level documentation and reports.
- Generally, understands IT System Development Life Cycle and Agile concepts.
- Possesses a solid understanding of IT architecture concepts.
- Ability to interface well with end-users and senior client stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative virtual environment.
- Detail-oriented consulting approach, with client service focus.
- Self-starter able to work independently and within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possesses an advanced degree or credential (e.g., BIDA) in data analytics or business intelligence.
- Experience with Tableau
