Developer Events Manager at Prefect

📋 Description

• Develop and execute comprehensive event strategy across Prefect products.
• Own end-to-end event lifecycle from conferences to developer experiences.
• Manage budgets, ROI, and performance reporting for events.
• Lead global event execution: logistics, vendors, onsite ops.
• Coordinate speakers, booths, and attendee engagement.
• Design experiences for data/ML engineers and developers.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years managing developer communities and events with leadership.
• Background in developer advocacy/technical community building; credible with engineers; knowledge of Python and AI tooling.
• Proven track record launching and scaling community programs (forums, user groups, ambassador programs).
• Experience with infrastructure, DevOps, API, or data engineering audiences.
• Metrics-driven approach to community growth and engagement.
• Ideal: infra/DevOps/data tech; AI trends; conferences; ambassador programs; NY/Bay Area preferred.
