Job Description

Purpose of the role:

The Technology Partnerships Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with key suppliers to accelerate innovation across Capita’s divisions. The role ensures strong commercial performance, supports delivery excellence, and drives measurable ROI from alliances. It requires an entrepreneurial mindset, the ability to simplify complex processes, and strong leadership qualities to build trusted relationships internally and externally while ensuring high standards of service and compliance.

What you'll be doing:

To manage, optimise, and grow Capita’s technology partnerships, ensuring alignment with divisional priorities, robust financial management, and high customer satisfaction. The role drives innovation, strengthens partner relationships, and ensures contractual and commercial commitments are met while continuously improving value delivery to Capita.

Commercial & Financial Management

  • Focus on cost optimisation, risk mitigation, and efficiency to support growth.
  • Forecast and manage annual spend within required tolerances to avoid penalties.
  • Oversee supplier billing, financial validation, cost recovery, and recharging processes.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met and compliance maintained.

Service Excellence & Operational Management

  • Maintain high levels of satisfaction and service performance across divisions.
  • Manage partner plans, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Assess organisational changes (e.g. divestments) and manage partnership impacts.

Partnership & Relationship Management

  • Build and strengthen relationships with divisions, partners, and technical alliances.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and represent partner needs within Capita.
  • Track KPIs and insights to maximise ROI.

Governance, Reporting & Insight

  • Provide reporting on partnership performance and adherence to commercial commitments.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to inform decision-making.
  • Represent partner perspectives in internal planning, strategy, and business case development.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work with Delivery and Leadership to define priorities and roadmaps aligned to strategic initiatives.
  • Support negotiations, integration activities, and execution of partner-driven solutions.
  • Promote delivery excellence through collaboration and influence.

What we're looking for:

  • 2–3+ years’ experience in service management, contract management or technology operations.
  • Strong experience managing stakeholders, governance boards or operational service relationships.
  • Solid understanding of contract performance, supplier management or partnership management.
  • High level of financial literacy and comfort working with large numbers.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior leaders independently.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritising workload and managing competing demands

  • Vendor Management Oversees the process of controlling costs, driving high performance and mitigating risks to gain increased value from vendors. Serves as a key contact for developing, managing and controlling vendor contracts.
  • Service Management Supports design, build, delivery, operate and controls information technology services offered to Capita. Actively aims to align IT services with Capita’s strategic objectives.
  • Portfolio Management Sustains the selection, prioritisation and control of projects and programmes offered by TSS, constantly reviews the balance of investment and benefit, creating and closing projects and programmes as necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement Actively showcases an ongoing effort to improve the products, services, and processes the team offer. This can involve improvement over time or all at once. Identifies and takes action against activities that generate the most value while removing waste activities.
