Technical Director - Facades at Jensen Hughes

📋 Description

• Role can be based in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, or Edinburgh.
• Provide senior technical leadership across façade and external wall projects.
• Bridge technical expertise with team leadership, QA, and client engagement.
• Work with the Director – Facades to grow UK façade consultancy services.
• Act as internal technical authority; mentor engineers and represent in client discussions.
• Travel to UK project sites as required.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Chartered or working towards chartership (desirable).
• Extensive experience in façade/external wall engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent technical judgement on complex/high-risk projects.
• Strong understanding of façade systems, materials, construction techniques, and performance.
• Experience in technical governance, peer review, and quality assurance.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the UK as required.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical matters clearly to clients and stakeholders.
