Student Analytical Chemist (Industrial Placement)

📋 Description

• Conduct physio-chemical testing of pharmaceutical APIs, impurities, and formulated products using
• Analyse formulated products to verify identity, uniformity, and detect impurities
• Support production of British Pharmacopoeia chemical reference substances
• Adhere to quality system and UKAS accreditation requirements
• Perform daily checks and calibrations of laboratory equipment
• Collate and interpret data, solve analytical problems, and prepare reports

🎯 Requirements

• Must be undertaking a chemistry or closely related science subject with industrial placement year
• Expected to achieve 2:1 or higher in chemistry (or equivalent)
• Aptitude for experimental analytical chemistry
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good IT skills – MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, email & Internet
• Well-organised and self-motivated with tenacity for solving technical problems
